So I guess you want to know a little about me. Well, that's me on the right. The other is my fiance (getting married in November) Donna Jo. Make sure to read my spelling and grammer quotes at the bottom. Please forgive me for spelling or grammer errors through out this website.
I was born May 13, 1982 in Texas. I have lived in Texas all of my life. Although I am only in my early twenties, I feel as though I have already done a lot. I grew up fairly normal, although I was sick often. I played baseball from age 6 until I was a Junior in High School. I also played some football and basketball somewhere along the way. I went to Fort Worth Christian from preschool until High School graduation. It was nice going to a small school where people really cared about you, but what extra I recieved in care and support from faculty was lost in the lack of quality curriculum.
I have been to 12 states (counting Texas) and 3 countries (counting the U.S.). My favorite place I have visited is London, England. I went there while I was in High School and I get to go again on for my honeymoon. I love to travel and see new places. I also travel every year to go skiing.
I currently attend ACU. I am a Senior Computer Science major. I will (hopefully) graduate in Dec. 2003. ACU is a pretty good school, but it reminds me a lot of FWC. There are many caring, nice people here, but once again there is a lack of class choices. I have enjoyed learning about computers, but often we get bogged down in theory and forget application.
I view myself as a "jack of all trades, master of none." I usually can figure almost anything out and perform the task at hand with competence. I have worked for Century21 Mike Bowman Inc.for the past two summers as an assitant sytems administrator and really enjoy my work there. I often feel that I learn more in one summer there than an entire year of college.
My likes tend to be fairly electic. If you look at my music or movies page, you will probably see that I like a little bit of everything. How many people do you know like listening to James Taylor, Eminem, Willie Nelson, Ozzy Osbourne, and Bach equally. I have always liked art, and since Donna Jo is an Interior Design major/artist I have grown to love it even more. I am always attempting to expand my viewpoints and open my mind to new ideas. One can never stop learning. And now for the spelling and grammer quotes I promised you:
" I never had any large respect for good spelling. That is my feeling yet. Before the spelling-book came with its arbitrary forms, men unconsciously revealed shades of their characters and also added enlightening shades of expression to what they wrote by their spelling, and so it is possible that the spelling-book has been a doubtful benevolence to us."
-- Mark Twain
" You may say a cat uses good grammar. Well, a cat does -- but you let a
cat get excited once; you let a cat get to pulling fur with another cat on a shed,
nights, and you'll hear grammar that will give you the lockjaw. Ignorant people think
it's the noise which fighting cats make that is so aggravating, but it ain't so; it's
the sickening grammar they use."
-- Mark Twain
